January picnic trial is happening - JANUARY 8TH

January 8th Picnic Trial is ON, see you there!

Hello all! As was discussed at the AGM, since the first Sunday of January falls on New Year's Day, there will be no picnic trial on this day. It was a possibility that Jill R and Skip would choose to run the January picnic trial the following Sunday (which is the same weekend as York's, up in Nobleton). Should Jill R and Skip decide not to run a trial on the same Sunday as another club, then our next picnic trial will be in February according to our regularly-scheduled programming. If Jill R and Skip do decide to run the January trial, then we hope to see you all there!

December 4th picnic Trial

Don't forget to come out and join us on Sunday!

We will be at the Vet's field to take registrations, come in the main gate and turn right.  The field is on your right hand side. Both Hunt stake and field trial will be offered.

We will be registering at 9am and starting at 9:30am.

Remember to dress warm and bring something hot to drink.
See you there!

First picnic trial and AGM

We couldn't have asked for better weather for our picnic trial this past weekend.  Thanks to Ray for providing a great lunch of chili and hot dogs, Dave and Jodi for bringing dessert.  Thanks to our judges Ray & Pete for the Hunt test and Chris and Skip for the field trial.

Our AGM went well.  There is no change to our executive for 2012 and all our events are a go for next year.  We still need chairs for our March and April picnic trials.  Our picnic trials will be held at the vet's field the same as last year.  It will be just about running the dogs so there won't be coffee or lunches so remember to pack a lunch and something hot to drink!

Hope to see everyone out in December :0)

Picnic Trial and AGM

The first of our picnic trials is coming up on November 6th with registration at 9am and stakes (Hunt and Field) starting at 9:30am.  We will be renting the Marina pavillion and there will be a lunch available and hot coffee to get us going in the morning.

Our annual AGM will start as soon as the stakes and lunch are completed.  This tends to be around 2pm.
Please join us and give us your input and ideas for the Club's direction for next year.

Hope to see you all there!

March picnic trial Sunday the 6th CANCELLED

Due to heavy rain that's bound to freeze overnight, the picnic trial is cancelled

Hi All!

Our picnic trial for March is scheduled to happen this coming Sunday. The forecast doesn't look too pretty, so PLEASE keep an eye on this blog or the Canadian Hunting Dogs Forum for up-to-date information should it get cancelled due to inclement weather.

Other than that, all the information is the same as the info posted below -- registration is at 9am, and the stakes begin at 9:30. $5 per dog, and coffee/hot chocolate and snacks will be provided. When you come into the park, drive straight in to the dead end. Hang a right to head to the vet's field. See you there!

February Picnic Trial CANCELLED

Due to the weather, there will be no February picnic trial

Hello all!

Sunday February 6th is our next picnic trial. This is weather permitting, as we don't want dogs slipping on ice or plowing through heavy snow.

All info is the same as the below post for the January picnic trial -- same Bat time, same Bat channel, folks!

Jill Chalmers is running this one. If you'd like to volunteer your help (offering to stop by Tim's and bring the coffee, contribute to the food or food equipment, etc) please email her and let her know that you want to lend a hand!

Snowsuit up! =)
